I LOVE GETTING READY PICS.  LOVE.  THEM.

I love the hotel room, I love the shoes, I love the dress, I love the bride putting her lip gloss on.  I love brides seeing themselves for the first time in the mirror.

I shot these a few weeks ago while assisting my friend Sarah K Chen… We had a great time – I also met a new photography friend, David Ham, who was second shooting with Sarah that day…

Here’s another wedding I shot with my friend, Heidi Ryder… I love shooting with Heidi – she was the first photographer I ever assisted and I’ll always be grateful to her for giving me that opportunity… AND she loves The Gilmore Girls as much as I do… Which goes a very long way in my book.

Martha and John’s wedding was lovely – laid back and relaxed – yet elegant… There were lots of simple DIY details – I really liked how they used the table wine as the table numbers… The seashells in the bottom of the flower arrangements were a subtle and perfect way to bring their beach wedding indoors without making it a whole big “beachy” theme…. Martha made her own wedding dress (amazing!)… Oh, and, there were about a million adorable little kids running around… Seriously some of the cutest kids I’ve ever seen – they had about 6 flower girls!!  Hooray!

Tiffany’s a wonderful friend of mine – she’s been modeling for me since I was first learning photography & I’m so grateful to her for all her help!  Tiffany & Ryan are so in love and so perfect for each other and I’m so excited for their wedding in September!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xo

Here’s the 2nd wedding that I assisted Sarah K Chen at… I have such a great time working with her and Jeret Slack… The wedding was beautiful, the bride was stunning and couldn’t possibly have been any easier to photograph, and Sarah brought cookies… what can I say?  It was a perfect day.  xo

I shot this wedding with Tammy Horton a couple weeks ago at a vineyard up in Solvang…. It was my first time up there and I can’t wait to go back… Beautiful.  It was a gorgeous day, with a gorgeous, happy couple… All the details were lovely, but I’m especially in LOVE with the bride’s bouquet

This was the first wedding I assisted Sarah K Chen at… I love her and had so much fun while learning A LOT and I got to fire off a couple shots which I wasn’t expecting (I was literally there to assist Sarah with whatever she needed – her second shooter was another awesome photographer named Jeret Slack)… I’m so grateful I get to work with these guys and cannot wait until the next wedding!! Audrey and Ken were just adorable – in fact, everyone there that day was…. their families and friends were awesome just like them… One of my favorite parts of the whole wedding was the toast that Audrey’s father gave – let me tell you – it’s not easy taking pictures while crying… and then I looked over at Sarah, and she was too…. It was a beautiful day full of love and laughter and tears of joy and I’m just so glad I got to be there for it…

Here’s another wedding I shot recently with Heidi Ryder… This wedding was all about having fun – there were games to play on each of the tables, a photo booth with silly props and costumes, and lots and lots and lots of dancing!!  It was one of those parties where 5 minutes into it,  groomsmen had their ties around their foreheads and I didn’t see anyone who wasn’t having the time of their life… I love it!
